About Series Home |
(About Phillip Home) (Last) (Next) Saint RichardDear Saint Richard, I’m writing this from school using my web access to aboutphillip.com, my new website. Please don’t reply to home, ok, and don’t breathe even a hint to Mom. I know you may not get this until next Monday—that’s your prep day, right?—because it’s probably too late today in Russia, but maybe you’ll sneak a peak at your e-mail before too long. You told me about how you left home once. Well, it’s my turn now. I stayed last night at Grant Haven’s. Sister Haven says one night of "cooling off" should be enough but I don’t think so. I’ve been thinking about it all morning and decided I’m not ready to go home. BTW, can you tell me why you left home? I never heard anything about it. Big family secret, I suppose. You know about the accident, right? It’s pretty clear Dad doesn’t want me around anymore. I was driving and anyway, Martin broke his arm. You should see the bruise on his face--awesome. Promise me you won’t tell Mom, but after the accident when Dad and I went home to get the other car, he hit me so hard I went flying. I got a big black eye; everyone thinks I got it in the accident but I think Martin might know the truth—how he knows I don’t know. Anyway, I think I’m going to tell the bishop. You said in your e-mail that I should go along to get along. Sorry, your little brother can’t do that. If going along means getting whacked on the side of the head, I draw the line. I think for me getting along means getting out. While I’m still in one piece. BTW, I’m doing pretty good at track. There’s another meet this week at Fairview but I already made the cut for Regionals so it doesn’t matter how I do. Also BTW, what do I say to a total idiot at school who keeps giving me trouble about being a Mormon? He’s a jerk. Your ***--> middle <--*** brother (I’m not so little anymore) Phillip |
